Anycubic Photon 3D Printer

In News

Anycubic Photon is a DLP 3D printer that allows you to print objects in 3D and uses liquid resin as a raw material in this process. It has a design free of many complex parts, with only the Z axis moving up and down. This simplicity is preferred over conventional FDM 3D printers. It heats the plastic wire into a certain shape, thus realizing a 3D object to be printed.

Printing has a fairly simple process. You can print any design in your own STL format, or you can prepare your design for free with the Photon slicer software and start printing the design to the printer software from a USB stick or PC. After you have the print height and the printer's cartridge ready, fill the tank with approximately ¼ of resin and turn the printer on to print your object. Your object will be printed within a few hours.

The biggest plus of Anycubic Photon is that it is the most affordable product among many DLP printing devices on the market, and despite this reasonable price it is quite capable. If the objects you want to print have a resolution of 25 - 100 µm, this may be the product you are looking for. Print accuracy is much higher than normal FDM printers. If you do the necessary cleaning operations carefully and completely after printing, you can easily use them for a long time without any malfunction.

Resins in many different colors are available. The resin should be stored in a cool, dark place. It has a shelf life of approximately 12 months if storage conditions are met. Since contact with the resin can be harmful, it is important that you do not forget to wear gloves during this procedure. Do not forget to take care that the environment you are using is ventilated, since liquids may emit a bad smell that may disturb the sharp and uncomfortable.

Make sure that the floor on which you are using the printer is level and that the printing platform is firmly placed on the surface. If the floor is not flat, unwanted curvatures may also occur on the object you are trying to print.

Our Favorite Features

Unlike FDM 3D printers, there's no difference whether you're going to print 10 copies of the same object or just need one copy. The print time remains the same for each object. However, if you have an FDM printer, the printing time of each new object will take longer than before. Therefore, it is no problem to load the platform with as many objects as possible for each print run.
